Ed Dougherty has been an instrumental, choral and general music educator since 1998. He currently teaches in the Monroe Township Public School District in Williamstown, New Jersey. Ed’s focus is on teaching beginner and intermediate brass, woodwind, and percussion to students in grades 5-8. In addition to Ed’s teaching duties, he also directs the 5th Grade Chorus as well as the Select Choir.
Ed Dougherty grew up in Delaware County and graduated from Ridley High School in 1994. He continued his musical education at West Chester University, graduating in 1998 with a B.S. in Music Education, then he earned his M.A. in Education from Gratz College in 2010. In addition to teaching Ed also enjoys performing live. He has performed with the All Star Buglers, a trumpet ensemble which performed at various U.S. horse racing events and at Major League Baseball games. He has also played trumpet for weddings and other church services.
