Victoria Herrera is a 2020 graduate of Immaculata University’s music program receiving her Bachelors of Music in Music Therapy. Victoria is also a current graduate student pursuing her masters in clinical mental health counseling at Immauclata University.
Victoria is currently a music therapist in inpatient psychiatric care providing music therapy and counseling group sessions for adults and adolescents with varying diagnoses and degrees of mental illness. She has experiences as a music therapist with children on the autism spectrum and other intellectual disabilities in both school and medical settings. Victoria is also currently a counseling intern for outpatient eating disorder and general mental health care.
Victoria’s major instrument was classical guitar and she was a member of the choir, madrigals, and guitar ensemble during her time as an undergrad at Immaculata University. Victoria has experience preforming in many coffee houses and open mics throughout her life.
As a private lesson instructor over the last 5 years, Victoria Herrera has experience teaching multiple instruments and voice to children of varying ages and adults. Victoria joins Breaking the Barrier School of Music offering lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, drums/percussion, voice, beginner piano, and music theory. Victoria will also be leading the Little Kids Big Voices class every other Saturday.
